Marina Tokar | 15+ years
Marina’s fate as a future planner was sealed at the tender age of 5, when her parents plucked their family from a mid-sized industrial city in the Ukraine and moved it to Brooklyn, NY. The experience - of viewing culture as an outsider - sparked her lifelong curiosity about people. This inquisitiveness helps her connect with consumers across life stages, income brackets and cultures - from street-style dandies in South African townships to working-class Americans in manufacturing towns, she’s adept at getting to the heart of what makes people tick. This helps her uncover truths that strike a nerve and ripple their way out to culture. In her downtime, Marina can be found geeking out on a pop-psych book, stalking her little sister on Tik-Tok, or watching food documentaries.
